The beginnings of our company date back to 1963, when Ryszard and Janina Wypyski started their adventure with selling fruit and vegetables. After a few years they expanded the business. They started growing tomatoes in greenhouses situated near Piotrków Trybunalski, and later on started an apple orchard near Częstochowa. On the premises they built an apple storage.
In 1981 their son, Zbigniew Wypyski, also started trading fruit and vegetables, and 7 years later he made an investment into a manufacturing plant.
In 1989, in Poczesna near Częstochowa, “Wypyski Brothers” fruit and vegetables processing plant was established. At that time it was the greatest investment in our region. The manufacturing plant worked on candying: carrots, plums, apples, oranges, currants, gooseberries, rhubarb and also on producing chocolate confectionery, mainly plums in chocolate and “Ptasie mleczko” (a type of marshmallow covered in chocolate). At its peak, the company employed over 120 workers and was a main trading partner of such giants as “Solidarność”, “Jutrzenka”, “Goplana”, “Wawel”.
In 2000 Zbigniew Wypyski resumed working on that field and successfully built a new brand from the beginning. He concentrated mainly on comprehensive supplying the food industry with fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables from Poland, other European countries and also from China.
Now it is the third generation of the Wypyski family that works successfully in a fruit and vegetables industry. In 2010 we started operating effectively on new markets of fresh fruit and vegetables, mainly on wholesale green markets. The company’s trademark became, among others, importing young cabbage from Macedonia or horseradish from Hungary, the products which are dedicated for industry, wholesale green markets and supermarkets. The sale of these products is constantly growing and it is one of the most important pillars of the business. In 2012 we started trading young onions from Macedonia and also industrial onions, both peeled and in skins, from our national suppliers. With time, the company also developed selling cucumbers from Romania and gained experience in trading products like watermelons, cherries, as well as industrial red pepper whole and halves, both fresh and frozen. Beetroots, sorrel, celery, cucumbers and other vegetables come from local suppliers.
The current company KW Agricola Co. ltd., which was established in 2018, is a result of nearly sixty years of our family’s experience in that field.
We have over 100 trading partners in Poland and abroad. We deal with importing fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables, and in Poland we cooperate with local farmers. Due to perfectly-developed trade and distribution logistics KW Agricola Co. Ltd. supplies our customers with the freshest and possibly the cheapest products. A great majority of our products is distributed to our customers directly from our suppliers, we don’t do transhipment and we don’t store fresh products, thanks to which we don’t create additional costs. That lets us offer our customers very competitive prices.
Our company is successful on the frozen products market, we use refrigerated chambers for storing only frozen fruit and vegetables.
We work expansively on the market of fruit and vegetables preservatives supplying the greatest food processing factories in Poland.
